Between Miramas and Salon-de-Provence, in the heart of the Bouches-du-Rhône, Grans has everything of the perfect little village in Provence. Particularly charming, it enjoys an ideal location to allow nature lovers and lovers of Mediterranean charm to discover all the beauty of this beautiful corner of France.

Watered by the Touloubre river, about thirty kilometres from Marseille and forty kilometres from Aix-en-Provence, Grans is, it can be said, a perfect destination for stays under the sign of elegance. Its architecture, typical of Provence, is enough to make lovers of beautiful stones fall in love with. So, to make sure you don't miss anything, take the time to wander through its shady alleys to meet its typical houses of the region, ochre-coloured, adorned with light-coloured stones and shutters painted in pastel colours, which give the town of Grans a crazy cachet. In the oldest part of the village, you will not be able to miss the five magnificent fountains scattered here and there along the narrow streets, alleys which also shelter on the side of the rue du Four, the rue Pasteur, the cours Camille Pelletan and the Fontaine d'Or splendid residences from the 18th and early 19th century in particular, recognizable by their ornate facades. The Camille Pelletan circular courtyard, a shady circular boulevard, is particularly pleasant: situated in place of the old 17th century ramparts, it houses superb vaulted passages and houses with sculpted fronts, notably at n°29 and n°36. A little further on, visit also its old mill which, still today, produces oil "à l'ancienne", which is the pride of the inhabitants of Grans. The flour mill, although dating from the 16th century, is also still in operation, symbolizing the will of the village to perpetuate centuries-old traditions. Then pass by the church of Saint-Pierre-ès-Liens, built in 1772, to admire its neo-classical facades, without forgetting to visit the 17th century chapel of Sainte-Anne, recognizable by its wide portal and its fortified bell tower topped by a high campanile.

In order to visit Grans and its surroundings in the best possible way, the town has developed hiking trails suitable for both walkers and cyclists. Via the GR6 in particular, and thanks to many other itineraries, there are nearly 20 kilometres of paths that will allow you to wander through the Provencal countryside. Don't miss the splendid Mary Rose fountain, for a pleasant bucolic walk along the Touloubre river, as well as the prehistoric station of Baou Majour and the Regional Nature Reserve of Pointevine-Regarde-Venir, where ponies and horses will allow you to enjoy beautiful family rides. Finally, the Mediterranean, Aix-en-Provence, Cavaillon, Marseille, Avignon, Salon-de-Provence being less than an hour's drive from Grans, you will be able to discover some of the most beautiful destinations of Provence during this stay, for unforgettable holidays!
