Only 17 kilometres from Arles and 36 kilometres from Avignon, Le Paradou enjoys an ideal location for holidaymakers wishing to visit the most beautiful corners of Provence. Only 10 minutes from Le Paradou is the beautiful Fontvieille : engraved forever in the writings of Alphonse Daudet in the "Lettres de Mon Moulin", this town is a true haven of peace in the hollow of olive groves and rolling meadows. Its famous mill, Roman aqueducts, chapels, wash-house and castles make it an ideal destination for a cultural visit. Les Baux-de-Provence will also be an essential part of your stay : listed as one of the "Most Beautiful Villages in France", Les Beaux-de-Provence is a Mecca of Provençal gastronomy. In family, the visit of the museum "La Petite Provence du Paradou" is to make absolutely. You will discover one of the biggest museums dedicated to the santons, these small characters made of clay, typical of Provence. In all, in a miniature Provençal village with a superbly reconstructed decoration, more than 400 santons on a scale of 1/6 are staged. During your stay, you will certainly have the opportunity to visit the remains of the Towers of Castillon, of which only a few ramparts and three towers remain today.
