To the north of Brive-la-Gaillarde, in the heart of the Corrèze, Sainte-Féréole benefits from a privileged location to allow adventurous holidaymakers to visit the department, but also the Quercy and neighbouring Périgord.

A land of hiking and gourmet tastings, Sainte-Féréole is the perfect place to stay for a quiet holiday, far from the world and the crowds that rush in the summer to the big tourist destinations. On the banks of the river Couze, about twenty kilometres from Tulle (known to have been the city of heart of the former President of the Republic Jacques Chirac), Sainte-Féréole sees its origins go back far, far back, to the Gallo-Roman period, as evidenced by the remains found on the spot and since exhibited at the Labenche Museum in Brive-la-Gaillarde. What seduces in Sainte-Féréole? Its calm, yes, its legendary calm and its peacefulness, so attractive when you want to escape the hustle and bustle of the town for a week or two. To discover the city, nothing is better than a little walk or a bike ride according to your desires. Take a walk along the "Chemin de la Résistance", which has been laid out all around the town, punctuated by the huts of the maquisards, as well as the many hiking trails that dot the area, so that you can appreciate all its charms. At the bend of a lane lined with magnificent 17th century turret houses, you will discover the Romanesque church, the heart of the village, reputed to have been rebuilt many times and to house magnificent 17th and 18th century altarpieces. Finally, outside the village, it is the dam of La Couze that you will have to see, a perfect place for visitors, whether they are Sunday hikers or lovers of green outings.

A land of escape and hiking, Sainte-Féréole lies in the heart of wooded hills, oak and chestnut forests, and pine massifs further south towards the Cirque des Saulières. A nature destination par excellence, it will however allow you to visit all the nooks and crannies of the region in no time at all, thanks to its ideal location. But what to see? Donzenac (4 kilometres away), les Pans de Travassac (3 kilometres away), the Parc Accrobranche Wizz'titi for outings with the little ones, but also Aubazine, its abbey and its Canal des Moines (9 kilometres away), Tulle and its Weapons Museum (13 kilometres away), but also Comborn and its castle, Collonges la Rouge classified "Most Beautiful Village of France" as well as Turenne, the magnificent Le Saillant on the edge of Vézère (11 kilometres away), without forgetting Brive-la-Gaillarde, 8 kilometres away. If the town is worth the detour, you can also take advantage of its "voie verte" along the banks of the Corrèze, for beautiful family walks in the coolness of the river. You can also opt for a hot-air balloon ride from Brive to discover the region at the mercy of the wind, for water sports activities in the Corrèze such as canoeing, kayaking, rafting, paddling, fishing, swimming, water-skiing or sailing from the Brive nautical base...
