If for you, holidays go hand in hand with culture, heritage, fresh air and authenticity, then Neuvic is the place to settle down. Rich with many sites to visit, this small village in the Périgord Blanc will reveal all its most beautiful secrets during this stay.

Watered by the Isle, the small commune of Neuvic-sur-l'Isle is located in the heart of the Dordogne department, in the New Aquitaine region. About thirty minutes from Périgueux, between fertile plains, sunny hills and fields of poppies, this charming commune has its origins in the time of the Gauls, but is especially marked by the Middle Ages. His most beautiful work? The Château de Neuvic, undoubtedly, was built during the Renaissance during the 16th century. Classified as a Historic Monument, it impresses its visitors with the astonishing splendour of its vaulted rooms, furniture and decorations, but also with its wall paintings and its very rare three-level stone sink. Its romantic cave, chapel and Grand Salon Louis XV are among its most beautiful jewels, which we strongly recommend you visit. The Botanical Park of Château de Neuvic is also worth a visit, for its impressive collection of trees and shrubs scattered over 6 hectares, but also for the very beautiful birds that have made their home there. Children will discover a fun route, perfect for an introduction to botany and a visit to the park.

Sportsmen? More than 700 kilometres of marked trails and 70 hiking loops for all levels criss-cross the Isle Valley in Périgord, allowing you to enjoy beautiful excursions through the generous nature of this pretty green area. Mountain bike enthusiasts? The "Double Circuit" and the "Resistance Circuit" are musts to be enjoyed at any time of the year, as are the 400 kilometres of the "In the Wheel of Lawrence of Arabia" trail through the Périgord and Limousin. The Véloroute (Voie Verte) of the Vallée de l'Isle (V90) and its 100 kilometres of routes will also delight holidaymakers passing through the region, to whom we particularly recommend the section linking the Neuvic leisure centre to the Mauriac lock, for 4.5 kilometres of stroll along the river's meanders. In addition, this outing will offer you an incomparable view of the neighbouring château of Mauriac, as well as a good breath of fresh air. It would be a pity to stay in Neuvic without enjoying its many activities along the river, provided in particular from its leisure base or canoe base. Kayaking, canoeing, electric boat trips or even stand up paddle trips will allow you to discover the Isle with a big paddle, for a sporty and refreshing visit during the hot (very hot) summer days.

Finally, it is impossible to fully enjoy your stay if you do not succumb to the pleasures of local gastronomy. Fans of local flavours and fine gourmets will all agree that Périgord cuisine is one of the jewels in the crown of French gastronomy! On the menu?
