Inhabited since prehistoric times, the town of Terrasson-Lavilledieu is a real little nugget. Gateway to the Vézère Valley but also to the Périgord Noir, Terrasson-Lavilledieu reveals a very old and charming heritage, which will delight lovers of old stones. Poetically crossed by the course of the Vézère, Terrasson-Lavilledieu reveals a real postcard setting with its greenery, its mountains in the distance, and its bridges spanning the river. Well known by gourmets for its walnut and truffle trade, and especially for its medieval market which attracts a good number of amateurs, Terrasson-Lavilledieu is also famous for its Jardins de l'Imaginaire.
