In the magnificent Golo valley, in Haute-Corse, Morosaglia is located in the heart of an absolutely marvelous environment, in the old trap of Rostino, in Castagniccia. Gateway to the Regional Natural Park of Corsica, of which it is a neighbour, this medium mountain township spread out between 182 and 1249 meters of altitude is a little Eden for hikers. The latter, equipped with good shoes, will be able to try beautiful walks on the side of the Prato pass, one of the main passes of the Island of Beauty, perched at 985 meters high. We recommend that you take the time to discover the different neighborhoods and hamlets of the village, from Rocca Sottana to Stretta, passing by Collu and Querceto, all of which hang on rocky peaks that offer beautiful panoramas of the schist cliffs that adorn the village. The houses of Morosaglia are mostly made of schist and covered with beautiful lauze roofs, old houses that give the village a particular charm. Our advice ? Don't miss the Romanesque church of Santa Reparata! Facing the San Petrone mountain with its slopes covered with chestnut and beech trees, this charming church built in the 11th century is without doubt one of the most beautiful monuments of the village. The convent of Saint Francis, the church of Saint Francis of Assisi, the numerous chapels and the remains of an old copper mine will complete your visit to the built heritage. And not to miss anything of the Corsican soul, go to the House of Pascal Paoli! Father of the Corsican patriotism, general in chief of the Corsican Nation from 1755 to 1769, he is one of the most emblematic personalities of the island, whose history you will be able to discover.

Territory with varied reliefs, Morosaglia reveals between two mountains the Golo, the biggest coastal river of Corsica which flows into the Tyrrhenian Sea.
