A charming village resort nestled on the sunny slopes of Haute-Savoie, Montriond occupies a prime position in the immense Portes du Soleil ski area, renowned for its 600 kilometres of slopes. Connected directly to the resorts of Morzine, Avoriaz and Les Crosets (in Switzerland), Montriond has an ideal location for a variety of sporting activities. The resort is also known to host the longest run in the area, "l'Abricotine", which runs through Montriond from its peaks to the Ardent cable car, and this, over 8 kilometres of vertiginous descent. Its ski area is rather vast, and will allow families and beginner skiers to discover skiing in complete serenity. In detail, there are nearly 76 kilometres of slopes for all levels waiting for you during the winter season, spread out between 1800 and 2460 metres above sea level: 4 green, 25 blue, 14 red and 8 black slopes criss-cross the resort from side to side. Nordic activity enthusiasts will have the opportunity to discover the resort's hilly landscapes at their own pace thanks to 38 kilometres of skating trails through the forests and snow-covered passes of the Chablais massif, glades, undergrowth and lake. The circuit around Lake Montriond is particularly appreciated, both for its rather easy marked circuit (6 kilometres) and for its breathtaking views over the high snow-covered peaks. Are you a thrill seeker? Choose an ice diving session at Lake Montriond, or an introduction to speed riding, a trendy activity that combines skiing and mini-skiing. Are you a fan of playful sports? Ski joering, yooner, snowcross slopes in the "The Stash" snowpark, surfing and night sledging are for you! Contemplative holidaymakers who love peace and quiet and secret trails? During the summer, Montriond offers its visitors a completely different face.
