On the border between the Hautes-Pyrénées and Haute-Garonne regions, surrounded by high peaks, Peyragudes is the ideal holiday destination to fill up on oxygen. In summer or winter, you can recharge your batteries while enjoying a wide range of activities.
Created by the merger of two resorts, Peyragudes boasts an immense 1,500-hectare ski area. Spanning both sides of the same mountain, it boasts 51 runs, 18 lifts including 4 detachable chairlifts, a snowpark, a fun slope, a slalom zone and much more. On the menu: downhill skiing, ski touring, snowshoeing, dog sledding, night skiing, tobogganing, pumptrack...
In summer, Peyragudes returns to the greenery of its mountain pastures, inviting you to experience a whole new range of sensations. In a magnificent natural setting, you can climb mountain passes by bike, go downhill on a mountain bike, climb to new heights or get your adrenalin flowing on a white-water raft. To enjoy the mountains and their pure air at a slower pace, you can also take advantage of the many hiking trails that criss-cross the surrounding area. Head for the Louron valley, on the western side of the resort, to discover the pretty village of Loudenvielle, its lake with water sports center and spa. You can also admire the Caillaouas lake, the Néouvielle reserve and the Lapadé forest.
Continue your discovery of the surrounding area with a visit to Saint-Lary-Soulan, where you can enjoy a guided tour of its architectural heritage. You can also visit the Maison de l'Ours and the Maison du Parc National des Pyrénées. On the Haute-Garonne side, take a trip to Bagnères-de-Luchon to admire the thermal baths and their park, the Château Lassus Nestier and the magnificent residences built between the mid-19th and early 20th centuries: Chalets Spont, Villa Édouard, Villa Santa Maria, Chalets Russes and Chalets Persans... Take time to sample local recipes such as veal axoa, brandade de truite d'Oô, Pyrenean fondue, garbure, apple croustade...

Good breath of air. Snowshoe hikes if you can't ski because of the confinement... a shame because there's a lot of snow. Beautiful, peaceful place to recharge your batteries.

The tobacco bar "Le Husky": friendly owner, bread depot. The restaurant "La Terrasse": good pizzas, excellent mussels and chips with real french fries (not frozen) and very pleasant waitresses. The descent to Loudenvielle by gondola is to be done (8€ adult and 6€ up to 14 years old) It's a pity that the escape game forces you to take the chairlift (impossible with a dog or vertigo!). Hiking from the resort or a few minutes by car. Ewe's cheese at l'Estive (above La maison de Peyragudes): you have to go up there but it's worth it!

A good table: restaurant "La Grange" in St Lary Soulan. Intermarché de Asizan: not very big but everything is there! The road of the lakes is to be made (until the lake Cap de Long and its dam).

I recommend this station: it has everything to have a great week. The very correct prices, the nice people, the bakery-pastry shop: a treat ("Le Traîneau des Gourmandises" is aptly named) as well as the restaurants.
