40 kilometres north of Mont-de-Marsan, the village of Luxey is located in the heart of the Landes de Gascogne Regional Nature Park, on the border with the Gironde department. About fifty minutes from Biscarosse and its beaches, and 80 kilometres from Bordeaux, Luxey is located in the canton of Haute Lande Armagnac. A very green destination, it is in this charming town that the Petite Leyre river has its source. Luxey is renowned for being the perfect destination for those who like to party in a good mood and conviviality in Aquitaine. The "Musicalarue" Festival in August, but also the numerous annual festivals and events such as the traditional St. John's Day celebrations keep inhabitants and visitors busy throughout the year. However, these events do not change the quiet side of Luxey, as if hidden in the heart of a generous nature. In terms of architecture, Luxey is a real immersion in the Landes tradition. Here, the houses are old, authentic, made of very old half-timbered houses and cob houses that give the town an incredible picturesque charm. After taking the time to admire the half-timbered houses, you will discover the Saint-Eutrope fountain, known as "miraculous", the church Saint-Jean-Baptiste de Luxey of the 13th century, and the banks of the Petite Leyre: located on the road to Callen, these banks are perfect for a bucolic stroll in the freshness of the watercourse. You can walk or cycle there, and we even advise you to opt for a romantic picnic in the shade of its banks... To the sound of the lapping of the water, it is difficult to do better!

Staying in Luxey is also an opportunity to visit some of the most emblematic sites of the Landes, such as Mont-de-Marsan, Biscarosse or Mimizan. Located 1 hour away from Luxey, the wonderful beaches of Mimizan are the perfect place to relax under the sun by the ocean. What's on the agenda? Swimming, sunbathing, tasting local dishes with your feet in the water, surfing, paddling, cycling along the seafront, hiking, wave-skiing, canoeing, bodyboarding, pedal-boating, but also rowing, sailing, sea excursions, fishing, games of pétanque at sunset...
