Nestled between forests, ponds and rivers, the village of Bracieux is a real invitation to rest and discover, in an elegant and particularly welcoming setting. Situated on an ancient Roman road linking Toulouse to Blois, it developed thanks to trade, and in particular thanks to its fairs, before becoming a must for holidaymakers curious to discover the splendour of the Loir-et-Cher and its treasures. Along its streets, Bracieux unveils a charming little heritage, made up of beautiful old houses, a 16th century multi-storey market hall, elegant half-timbered houses and old farms. Its old watermill, but also its romantic kiosk, its beautiful church and its wash-house give it a very special charm, which you will be able to detect by taking the time to get lost in its streets. Surrounded by the Boulogne state-owned forest, just on the edge of the Chambord park, the village is particularly appreciated for hiking and outings in the green, which will allow you to discover the rich surrounding vegetation but also its fauna, as it is not uncommon to come across deer and fawns near the rivers. With the family? Several playgrounds and picnic areas are located in the municipality, near the church, the Étang de Bel-Air or on the banks of the Bonne Heure. Along the banks of these rivers, and through the forest, there are many hiking trails that you will find starting from Bracieux, perfect for discovering the splendour of the area on foot, by bike ("Les Châteaux à Vélo" trail) or on horseback.
