Between the Aubrac and the Margeride, the village of Termes is one of those little-known destinations which nevertheless delight holidaymakers looking for a change of scene. Calmness, nature, everything is here gathered so that you spend relaxing holidays far from the crowd.

It is in the department of Lozere, in Occitania region, that is located the charming village of Termes. A paradise for those who want to be quiet, far from the traditional tourist routes, Termes is located in the Aubrac Regional Natural Park, a few steps from the border with the Cantal. Spread out between 1015 and 1223 meters of altitude, it covers a little more than 17 square kilometers, in the heart of an environment where nature is king. In Termes, no fuss, no souvenir shops, no tourist routes, and that's why we come here with pleasure! The only business in the village is a honey shop that you can discover by going up the hill by the church. Watered by many streams such as the Malagazagne, the Arzenc, the Vigours or the stream of Chabanettes, Termes is a very hilly rural town, which will undoubtedly delight lovers of hiking. Our advice? Take the time to climb up to the orientation table to discover a breathtaking panorama of the Massif Central and the valleys surrounding the town of Termes! Magnificent in summer, this landscape changing with the seasons to be completely covered with snow in winter will be a wonderful postcard of your holidays in Termes.

If there is a queen activity in Termes, it is hiking! The village is located on the GR de Pays called "Tour des Monts d'Aubrac", so it will be easy for you to walk or cycle through the neighbouring valleys. You will discover the villages of Fournels at 6,5 kilometers (perfect to do your shopping), of Aumont-Aubrac, of Saint-Chély-d'Apcher, or still by going more north that of Albaret-le-Comtal which, bordered in the north by Bès, offers a marvellous framework of picnic and hike the feet in water at the border between Cantal and Lozère.

But Termes... Just its name, that does not evoke you something? In addition to fishing, mushroom picking, and hiking in the heart of an abundant nature, Termes offers you the possibility to go in no time to the thermal complex of Chaudes-Aigues and to the thermal station of La Chaldette, the latter being only 20 minutes away from the village.
