Today known as "Sartilly Baie Bocage", born from the grouping of the municipalities of Montviron, Sartilly, La Rochelle Normande, Champcey and Angey, Sartilly is located in the heart of the Manche department, just a few kilometres from the beaches of the Normandy coast. A paradise for nature lovers, Sartilly conquers travellers in search of tranquility every year. If there is one thing not to forget to slip into your suitcases when coming to Sartilly, it is your sneakers! A true paradise for hiking, the municipality is criss-crossed by numerous hiking trails, but also equestrian and cycling routes to allow you to vary the pleasures. One of the most frequented paths is the one of Saint-Michel: the one that once led the miquelots (name given to pilgrims) to Mont-Saint-Michel is now a perfect green path for beautiful walks towards the Mont, with breathtaking views of the Bay of Mont-Saint-Michel all along the route. The Customs Path from the neighbouring town of Genêts will also allow you to discover all the most beautiful faces of the Bay, from the rock of Tombelaine to the Pointe du Grouin du Sud, passing through the tidal bore, Mount Manet, the Bec d'Andaine and the Genêts bridge.

As for heritage, you won't know where to look as Sartilly and its surroundings multiply the architectural and historical richness. Champeaux and its Vauban Hut are absolutely worth seeing: located on the tip of the same name, this hut is in fact a former 14th century guard house, built by Vauban. The latter has also covered all the coasts of the Bay of Mont-Saint-Michel with it, in order to monitor the sea and watch for the arrival of potential enemy fleets. The Abbey of Lucerne, more inland, also deserves your attention: this medieval monastery complex, whose construction dates back to the 12th century, is nestled in the heart of a vast green setting. Its light, its beautiful volumes, its Romanesque architecture and its beautiful organ make it an essential site in the region. Carolles and its Paqueray Cross, Château Les Hauts Mont-Saint-Michel, but also Mont-Saint-Michel are not to be missed. It would be a shame to be so close to this majestic site and not take the time to visit it! The most courageous will let themselves be tempted by the crossing of the Bay on foot or on horseback: at low tide and barefoot, this unique excursion will leave you with memories forever engraved in your memory. It is from the Bay that photography lovers will have the most beautiful pictures of the Mount! Don't miss the banks of the Couesnon, which will also be ideal for walks, always with the Mont as a backdrop. Le Couesnon also marks the border with neighbouring Brittany: for the short history, and to affirm the Norman origin of the monument, a famous local saying says that "Le Couesnon in his madness has put the Mount in Normandy".

Finally, staying in Sartilly will allow you to take pleasant relaxing breaks on some of the most beautiful beaches in Normandy.
