Turquoise water, clear sand, dream landscapes and remarkable cuisine: welcome to La Trinité, Martinique!

Located at the entrance to the Caravelle peninsula and its nature reserve, particularly popular with hikers, La Trinité unrolls its long beaches of fine sand along the Atlantic coast of Martinique. First of all, take the time to visit its heart of the village: with its beautiful 18th century church and minaret-shaped bell tower and its small houses typical of Creole architecture, La Trinité is definitely a city to discover. An unmissable? Its ancient covered market: located on the seafront, this essential place in La Trinité, open from Monday to Saturday, is a privileged place to discover the flavours of what is known as Flower Island. You can meet local producers and craftsmen, buy freshly caught fish, or buy rum, a local pride that is exported all over the world and whose reputation is well established.

A must to make a visit to La Trinité? Le Jardin de Bonneville: with its lush vegetation, this garden, which is particularly popular with visitors, is an address to note carefully for anyone wishing to visit La Trinité. Thanks to a path of nearly one kilometre running between kumquats, Cayenne cherries, lime and Caribbean fruits, you will discover all the wonders of the Creole flora. We also recommend that you discover the Caravelle peninsula: its 12-kilometre natural park is a particularly recommended place if you enjoy hiking. Its walking trails run alongside the ocean, for unforgettable walks by the sea to discover the splendours of nature, generous and colourful. You will cross the road of the remains of Château Dubuc (which you can visit), but also the ruins of the old Hardy rum factory, a distillery built in the middle of the 19th century. The Caravelle Lighthouse deserves a short break: located on the highest peak of the peninsula, it offers an exceptional panoramic view of the entire coast and the turquoise sea. For beautiful swimming breaks, head for the Bô la rivié waterfall: the widest on the island, it is surrounded by truly magnificent fields of exotic flowers. Connoisseurs particularly like to swim in the heart of its clear and fresh waters, ideal for resting after long hours of walking. Not far away, the small fishing village of Tartane is also worth a visit for its authentic setting and its heavenly beaches. In short, while hiking in La Trinité, you will discover magnificent coves, and breathtaking bays in which you will only want one thing: to swim!

Beaches: they are the main asset of La Trinité. Lovers of water sports? Heading for Anse Spoutourne, a paradise for athletes passing through La Trinité. You can windsurf, go to sea to discover the clear waters of the bay next to the Robert, water-ski or sail. Surf fans? Rendez-vous at Anse Bonneville, Martinique's main surf spot. Looking for peace and quiet or a break for a family swim? It is on the beaches of La Brêche, Les Raisiniers or Anse Cosmy that you will need to put down your towels. And for romantics and sunset lovers, remember to have a picnic dinner on the beach of the Other Edge: memories guaranteed!
