Near Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne, the Savoyard resort of La Toussuire offers you a real concentrate of the Alps. Summer or winter, its ideal location, on a plateau, will make you enjoy fabulous views of the surrounding mountains and exceptional sunshine.
A family-friendly resort, La Toussuire is part of France's fourth largest ski area, Les Sybelles. With 310 kilometres of slopes, 71 ski lifts and a guaranteed snow cover, you'll be able to run down the slopes for long hours. Children and novices will be able to make their mark in schools and specially designed areas and even learn freestyle in the heart of the Easy-Park. The more experienced can take advantage of the Sy'x Park modules or the boardercross tracks. If you prefer Nordic skiing, escape on the 25 kilometres of cross-country trails or on the many snowshoe trails.
In summer, the greenery takes back its rights to La Toussuire and the resort invites you to practice many activities. With a network of 60 kilometres of hiking trails, discover the flora and fauna and take the time to observe marmots and chamois. By bike, attack the 11 mythical passes which surround the village or borrow, by mountain bike, the 120 kilometres of marked out paths which criss-cross forests and mountain pastures. But many other leisure activities await you (swimming in the pool or in a lake, archery, skating...) and also many other new adventures : via ferrata, ULM, paragliding...
During your stay at La Toussuire, also enjoy the richness of the local heritage. In Fontcouverte-la Toussuire, visit the Notre Dame de la Salette chapel, built in 1621 and listed as a historic monument. Discover also the covered fountain which gave its name to the village, the Charvin church, the Villards chapel and the Cromlech, vestige of the Neolithic period. Then head to Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne to admire Saint-Jean-Baptiste Cathedral and its wonderful cloister, the Bonne-Nouvelle Chapel and the Bishops' Palace. Back at La Toussuire, offer yourself a good restaurant to taste the regional recipes and products : fondue, tartiflette, diots, salted meats, cheeses, Savoy wines...

Nice station. Great and varied programme of activities for young and old. Congratulations to the entertainers and professionals of the tourist office. Possibility of numerous excursions and activities. Wide choice of shops, boutiques and restaurants. Every Friday a market with local products.
