Fans of countryside and tranquility? For a quiet holiday: opt for the town of Rivières! Watered by the Tarn river, Rivières is located in the heart of the Occitanie region, in the Tarn department. Located less than twenty minutes from the magnificent city of Albi, Rivières seems to be the perfect place to settle down for a stay and discover its departmental wonders, between vineyards and red bricks.

With its fields, vineyards and wide open spaces, Rivières is a delight for holidaymakers looking for a stay in the countryside. Peaceful and away from the major tourist centres, the town remains ideally located in the countryside, less than an hour from the major cities of the region such as Toulouse, Albi and Montauban. If Rivières is a small haven of peace ideal for relaxation, it offers some activities during the summer period. The leisure centre of Aiguelèze in particular, to the north of the town, will delight young and old alike, who will be able to enjoy a wide range of activities for all tastes along the banks of the Tarn. On the agenda? Tennis, mountain biking, 9-hole golf, but also canoeing, pedal boat, fishing, boat trips, sailing lessons, water skiing, swimming and trips in a gabare (traditional flat-bottomed boat) to Albi!

A gourmet destination, Rivières welcomes every year the many tourists who come in droves to explore, visit and enjoy the heart of the Gaillac vineyards, renowned for their prestigious wines. These vineyards are crossed by numerous marked paths to allow children and adults alike to enjoy a wide variety of walks, horse riding and mountain biking. From Cestayrols to Salvagnac, via Rabastens, Gaillac, Lac des Auzerals, Senouillac, Técou, Castelnau-de-Montmiral, the unmissable village of Cordes-sur-Ciel, Penne, not to mention Albi and its streets with red buildings, you will discover during this stay the most beautiful faces of the bastide region, just renowned for its rich cultural and historical capital.

We guarantee that Tarn cuisine will satisfy the stomachs of the most gourmet, thanks to its many local specialities, each one more delicious than the next. Pink garlic, Segala veal, local cheeses, wines, Lacaune saffron, "oil pumps", rissoles, galabart pudding, cassoulet, fritons, aïgo boulido, bougnettes and other fruits from the surrounding orchards will delight young and old.
