Nestled between Saint-Tropez and Toulon, the town also known as the city of dolphins and whales is very popular with vacationers for its climate, its bright setting, its lush vegetation and its beautifully preserved environment. Colorful, fragrant and sunny, you will find within the magnificent town of Le Lavandou a number of hiking itineraries, notably along the coastline via a 3 kilometer path: you will be able to discover the magnificent villas overlooking the sea, as well as many luxury boats moored at the foot of the hills. The Saint-François trail linking Le Lavandou to the old village of Bormes les Mimosas over 6 kilometers is also a must: ideal for a family walk, it will allow you to discover all the charm of these small and friendly villages. We also recommend you to visit La Môle, the oldest village in the region, Collobrières to taste marrons glacés, Gassin, a small perched village famous for its spectacular view of Saint-Tropez, or Cogolin for its pipe factory.

The "Grande Plage", "l'Anglade", the "Plage de la Fossette", the "crique du Layet" or "Saint Clair", the beach of "Cavalière", the "plage du Cap", the one of "l'Éléphant", the one of "Jean-Blanc", the "plage du Rossignol", Pramousquier" or "Cap Nègre" will please the whole family, whether you are a fan of tranquility or, on the contrary, of places where you can indulge in the pleasures of water sports. Among the long list of activities offered on the beaches of Lavandou, you can try parasailing, jet skiing, sailing, wakeboarding, water skiing, paddle, sea fishing, pedal boat, kayaking, but also opt for sailing expeditions to meet the many dolphins that swim off Lavandou. You will also have the opportunity to go on catamaran trips (from the port) to the golden islands located a few miles away, such as Port-Cros, Le Levant and Porquerolles, perfect little protected paradises that you can discover on foot or by bike. But above all, Le Lavandou is one of the most beautiful places for scuba diving enthusiasts, thanks to the transparency of its waters and the richness of its sea beds. Don't panic, you can always go for exotic mini-golf, golf, tennis, zumba on the beach, yoga, pilates, badminton or beach volleyball.

Finally, how can you visit Le Lavandou without passing by its splendid markets full of sun-drenched fruits and vegetables? Excellent but expensive restaurants: the "Bistr'Eau Ryon" and "Le Tamaris", located on the beachfront of Saint Clair. Don't forget to book ! (for the Tamaris several days in advance).

Restaurant "Le Tam-Tam" by the sea: ideal setting, the staff respects the wearing of masks and barrier gestures (very reassuring), clean, copious and good dishes. Good value for money.

We enjoyed Le Lavandou: a pleasant city, several supermarkets, good base to visit the region (Bormes les Mimosas, Cavalaire, Porquerolles). Note the parking problem in the city centre.
