The coast of Bretignolles sur Mer is distinguished by the great variety of its beaches. If you want to please your children, go to the Marais Girard which hosts a beach club or on the Normandelière beach where there is a nautical base. If you want to surf, join the beaches of the Dunes or the wilder beaches of the Sauzaie, lined with creeks and rocky coasts, which offers one of the best spots in the Vendée. Finally, if you prefer lively beaches, opt for the Parée beach. Whatever your choice, you will be able to practice many nautical activities such as sailing, windsurfing, kayaking, paddle or even fishing on foot.
After a few hours by the sea, discover the resort. Enjoy the beautiful church of Notre-Dame-de-l'Assomption which has a superb white marble high altar and a magnificent organ. This rental is very practical when there are children downtown is not great we went a lot to Saint-Jean-de-Monts because on Bretignolles there is not much to do except the beach

2 good tables in Brétignolles: "L'Anse des Ilots" (by the sea) and "Le Bistrot des Halles" (1 rue des Halles). It is better to book. To reserve bikes: "L'Annexe" (119 rue du Marais Girard).

The restaurant "L'Anse des îlots": very good seafood. Bicycle recommended. Watch the tides because at tide 95 and higher, the beaches are absorbed by the sea.
