A paradise for hiking and parentheses in the countryside, Le Thillot offers a dream setting for holidaymakers looking for invigorating stays. In the heart of the Vosges, the commune enjoys a particularly privileged location to discover the wonders of its valleys.

Just 10 kilometres from the Balloons de Servance and Alsace, Le Thillot is one of these traditional Vosges villages poetically nestled in the hollow of the snow-covered valleys. Charming, welcoming, Le Thillot offers all the comfort for sports and resourcing stays. Its proximity to 3 ski resorts will allow you to discover or rediscover, with family or friends, the joys of the mountains in winter and summer. The stations of Larcenaire, Rouge Gazon and Ballon d'Alsace are only a few minutes drive from the village. The first, Larcenaire, is located in the neighbouring commune of Bussang: family above all, it will also satisfy the most sporty of you. Its very small domain has 8 slopes (3 green, 3 blue, 1 red and 1 black) as well as a slalom stadium, ski jumps, a beautiful Nordic domain for cross-country skiing and hiking. Rouge Gazon ski resort is primarily focused on Nordic activities: cross-country skiing, cross-country skiing, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing excursions, tobogganing... Everything to satisfy the adventurous at heart. In detail, on the ski side, 3 beautiful cross-country ski slopes will be accessible from the first snow, respectively 3.5, 7 and 10 kilometres long for the most adventurous. With snowshoes, two trails of 3 and 6.3 kilometres will be perfect to discover all the most beautiful and immaculate panoramas of the resort. In summer, Rouge Gazon will delight hikers, mountain bikers and cyclists with more than 20 hiking trails and 160 kilometres of cycle routes from the resort. From the Col du Petit Ballon (1267 metres) to Grand Ballon (1424 metres), via the Servance Ballon (1216 metres), the Grand Ventron (1202 metres) and the magnificent Balloon d'Alsace (1250 metres), pedal aficionados will be delighted! As family-friendly as the two previous resorts, Ballon d'Alsace offers a wide range of activities for all tastes: surfing, snowshoeing, downhill skiing, cross-country skiing, hiking, dog sledding, sledging, snowboarding... All this in a friendly and intimate atmosphere, far from the large concrete and overcrowded resorts.

If Le Thillot is the ideal place to enjoy winter sports, the town is just as attractive in summer. Make sure you don't forget your walking shoes! Its forests, mountains, ponds, lakes and chapels will delight both novice and experienced hikers. The Etang de Chaume, the Lac de la Moselotte, the Lac de la Moselotte, the Lac de Kruth-Wildenstein, or the magnificent Lac des Corbeaux in La Bresse (22 kilometres away) will constitute beautiful green edens, perfect for refreshing breaks on hot summer days.

Finally, while passing through the Vosges, do not deprive yourself of the delights of local cuisine! On the menu? Smoked hams, cold meats, smoked trout in blue, quenelles, maugin pies, cheeses from regional productions such as Munster, but also Pinot blanc, gris or noir, omelette and quiche Lorraine, Gewurztraminer, plum brandy, kougelhopf, candies from the Vosges, blueberry or quetsch pies...
