The second largest city on the island of Mallorca, located in the comarca of Llevant, Manacor is situated to the east of Mallorca. With an average population of more than 40,000 inhabitants, this little gem of a town, yet little known to tourists, is full of treasures to be discovered.

What makes Manacor's reputation throughout the world are obviously its pearls. Made in Manacor since the 19th century, these small glass beads covered with mother-of-pearl brilliantly imitate cultured pearls. We recommend a visit to the factory that makes these beads, so that you can learn all about their history and manufacturing process. And if you feel like it, and if your budget allows it, you can also buy beautiful jewellery, thanks to a small shop on the site. Manacor is also known as THE city of artisans on the island; take the time to stroll through its historic heart to discover the artists' galleries, cabinetmakers, markets and clothing shops that flourish in its streets. From the Torre del Palau to the Torre de Ses Puntes, passing by the church of Nostra Senyora dels Dolors, the Dominican convent of Saint Vincent Ferrier, the Torre des Enagistes and the wineries where locals and visitors alike taste good wines together, all the charm of Manacor will be revealed to you.

Manacor's other asset? His Marina. A wide coastal strip stretching over more than 27 kilometres, it brilliantly blends culture and nature, thanks to its geological nuggets and sublime beaches. From the small Cala Bota bordered by emerald water to the Cala Mendia, passing by the playa of Porto Cristo dotted with palm trees where you can take a nap in the sun, the wide Cala Varquès, the Playa Romantica and the magnificent and unspoilt Cala Magraner, incredible dream beaches await you. Perfect for sunbathing, swimming or water activities (such as diving, sailing, surfing, kayaking or paddle), they are so beautiful that all your followers on Instagram will be jealous of them: fine sand, turquoise water, beautiful seabed and straw umbrellas for shelter will be the perfect postcard of your holidays.

Finally, it is impossible to visit Manacor without enjoying the natural treasures that surround the town. The Grotte du Drach and the Grotte dels Hams are a must see.
