To the northwest of Mallorca, facing the Bay of Alcudia, Sa Pobla is part of the comarca of the Raiguer. Situated in one of the most fertile areas of the island, it has a large amount of farmland irrigated by large wind turbines, which are now characteristic of its landscape. Here, the potato is queen, so it is highly likely that you will find it in all its forms and sauces on your plates. "Coca de Patata", "Escaldum" (a poultry stew with potatoes and almonds), but also "tumbet" (Mallorcan ratatouille), "aguiat de peix" (monkfish stew with potatoes) and "patatas bravatas" will be on the menu of your tastings in poblera. The "Fira de la Patata" celebrates the potato every year at the beginning of June. If you are lucky enough to stay in Sa Pobla at this time of the year, you will have the opportunity to taste all the best local specialities thanks to stands set up in the main square, to discover the town and its flavours at the same time.

Culture of the land, but also culture of the spirit in Sa Pobla, since the municipality is home to a Museum of Contemporary Art, one of the most important in the whole island. Located in Can Planes, an old modernist-style mansion probably built at the end of the 19th century, it houses permanent collections of Mallorcan and foreign artists who lived in Mallorca in the 1960s and 1970s. On the first floor of this museum, the Toy Museum will delight those who have kept their childlike souls. With his large collection of toys and games from the 19th and 20th centuries, ranging from small rocking horses to huge wooden carousels, he is sure to put glitter in the eyes of young and old alike.

Bike lovers? You've come to the right place. A real little paradise for cyclists, Sa Pobla has dozens and dozens of marked trails and other sports circuits through the Tramuntana mountains. From difficult roads to quieter routes, the bicycle is certainly the best means of locomotion, both environmentally friendly and healthy, that you can find in order to conquer the most beautiful corners of the island.

Ideally located about ten kilometres from the beaches, Sa Pobla is also particularly well served by train and bus, which will allow you to discover Alcudia (15 kilometres), Pollença (13 kilometres), Palma (35 minutes) and Mallorca (10 kilometres). As you will have understood, it will be easy for you to get to the coast of Mallorca in less time than it takes. Want to feel the warm sand rolling under your feet? Direction the beaches of Muro. Each one more beautiful than the other, the beaches of Muro are enough to make the paradisiacal destinations of the Caribbean pale in comparison. Absolutely magnificent, made of white sand bordered by turquoise water worthy of the most beautiful postcards, these long, relatively well-preserved beaches will be perfect for you to bubble in the sun.
