With the particularity of not being located directly by the sea, you avoid the crowd that rushes during the summer to the island's very popular seaside resorts. In a quiet place, between the sea and the mountains, Chayofa is less than 5 minutes by car, taxi or bus from the most beautiful beaches of Tenerife: Costa Adeje, Playa de las Américas and Los Cristianos will allow you to enjoy magnificent beaches of fine sand for long periods of relaxation. As for gastronomy, you will absolutely have to taste the "papas arrugadas", these small "wrinkled" potatoes that are inseparable from the local culture. Served alone, in tapas or with a dish, they are often served with "mojo verde" and "mojo rojo", a delicious spicy sauce to enjoy without moderation. The "ropa vieja", the "punchero canario", the "horse mackerel" with escabeche, the watercress soups or the squid are to be added to the list of salty delicacies to be tasted during a visit to Chayofa. On the terrace? Take the opportunity to order a "barraquito", the local cappuccino: prepared with coffee, milk, sugar, coffee liqueur and orange peel, this very gourmet coffee is one of the most popular drinks served in Tenerife's cafés and restaurants.
