In the heart of the Champagne region, on the shores of Lake Orient, Géraudot is located in the heart of the Forêt d'Orient Regional Nature Park. Rich of a very old history, this small charming village is well worth taking the time to discover the intact beauty of its heritage. On the town side, it is impossible to miss the Saint-Pierre-et-Saint-Paul church which used to depend on the chapter of Troyes, and which is worth a visit for its nave with a large wooden vault. But we won't lie to you, if Géraudot is worth the detour, it is above all for its natural capital.

Spread over 16 square kilometers in the north of the Pays d'Othe and on the side of the Argonne natural region, this small town with an agricultural and forestry vocation has become over the years a real pearl, a breath of fresh air thanks to the development of several lakes parallel to the course of the Seine during the 1960s. Since 1966, the municipality of Géraudot has bordered the quiet course of Lake Orient to the north, a lake that covers 23 square kilometers. A renowned tourist site in the area, this lake is adored by visitors for its environment, its calm and its beach. Dedicated to swimming and water sports activities such as sailing and paddling, this splendid lake has several fine sandy beaches perfect for relaxing and swimming, supervised during the summer. There are playgrounds for children, and the lake also has picnic areas perfect for lunch by the water in any season. In addition to swimming, sunbathing contests and water sports such as dinghy and canoeing, you can enjoy a variety of land-based activities. You can rent bicycles or segways, enjoy an adventure park and a whole host of hiking trails. Quiet or sporty walks according to your desires, which will allow you to discover the beauty of the fauna and the exceptional flora which characterize the lake of Orient! In all, there are no less than 14 circuits for all desires, ranging from 4 to 25 kilometers, that you can discover. The more athletic will be able to opt for a large 48 kilometer loop that will also allow them to discover the calm and beauty of the neighboring lakes of Amance and Temple, as well as the peaceful landscapes of the hillsides of the Champagne auboise! By mountain bike, note that you can easily reach the outskirts of Troyes via towpaths along the canals, and via the greenway of the Seine for excursions between countryside and forests!
