Nestled in the heart of the Côte des Nacres, in the Corsican Regional Natural Park, Sari-Solenzara, a charming seaside resort, is the ideal place to stay if you love nature, dream beaches and the postcard panoramas that Corsica seems to have the secret to.

At the foot of the mountains of Bavella, halfway between Aleria and Porto-Vecchio, Sari-Solenzara lies at the edge of the warm waters of the Tyrrhenian Sea. City of South Corsica separated from Upper Corsica by the thick meanders of the Solenzara River, it is surrounded by small mountains, rocky spurs and green hills on which it sits at an altitude of 400 metres. Sari-Solenzara is divided into two distinct parts, starting with the upper area: the village of Sari, made up of two districts, "La Penna" and "San Quilico", is the historical charm of the municipality. It brilliantly combines natural and architectural heritage and dominates the coastal area from its high perched promontory. From fountains to traditional dwellings, take the time to stroll along its narrow, sunny streets. From Monte Santu (a climbing and trekking site) and the Penna, there are stunning views over the whole city and the blue sea that caresses Sari-Solenzara with its gentle waves. During your excursions you will be able to discover St. Peter's Church, as well as St. Paul's Church in Solenzara, and many hiking routes through the village and the nearby valleys.

After having visited the upper part of the town, you can then discover the lower area, Solenzara, a lively seaside area with a small marina. Situated at the mouth of the river of the same name, the port of Solenzara is both warm and friendly, ideal both for the yachtsmen who call at the port and for the walkers who come to stroll to the sound of the clattering of the moored boats. In May, the port of Solenzara is the scene of many festive events, ranging from boat shows to motorboat competitions, fishing contests and concerts by the sea. The lower part of the city also promises beautiful excursions to walkers and adventurers thanks to the Solenzara River (in particular towards the Aiguilles de Bavella), a real little jewel nestled in a preserved setting, studded with numerous waterfalls (Polischellu Waterfalls, Puracaraccia Waterfalls...) and natural pools with translucent waters, in which visitors love to swim.

Ah, swimming... This is certainly the favourite activity of holidaymakers passing through Sari-Solenzara. It must be said that the seaside resort has very, very (did we already say "very"?) beautiful sandy beaches where it is good to lie down for long lazy breaks under the sun. The first beach in South Corsica, the beach of Le Port is the smallest and narrowest of the resort. In its extension, the cove of Funtanaccia is worth the detour for its calm, as is the beach of Cala d'Oro. The magnificent beach of Scaffa Rossa is certainly one of the most beautiful beaches in the area: wide, clear sandbanks, palm trees and umbrellas are all there. The beach of Favone will finally fill the amateurs of nautical activities thanks to the numerous sports which are dispensed there: jet-ski, paddle, surfing, sailboat, pedal boat, rent of boats... Everything is gathered there for perfect moments in family.
