Pietrosella, a town in Corsica situated about 20 kilometres from Ajaccio, has something to make hearts turn over. Authentic, full of charm, this small town made of old stones in warm colours smells of tradition, and the perfume of Corsica, the real thing, as we like it. Pietrosella is coiled up on its rock beaten by the waves for centuries and centuries, and time seems to have stopped here to show visitors only the most beautiful. A village on a balcony overlooking the sea, clinging to the mountains, it is home to a splendid heritage, typical of the Isle of Beauty. The Genoese Tower of Isolella, built in 1608, is worth seeing, as are the old houses (from the 18th to the 20th century) and the old bread ovens that dot the town. During your excursions in the village, it is impossible to miss its religious heritage, which you will be able to contemplate by taking the time to visit the church of Saint-Pierre and Saint-Paul of 1862, the church of Sainte-Monique, or the church of the Immaculate Conception. But if you don't want to miss anything of Pietrosella's charm, the best thing to do is to put on good shoes, to go on foot or by bicycle to discover its small hamlets. Cruciata the wide open sea view, Acellasca, the hamlets of Fuculina and Sant'Amanza will give you a beautiful glimpse of the Pietrosella of yesteryear, preserved and welcoming. Take the time to discover the mill "di a casa bianca" built in 1786 in the heart of the village's cork oak forest, before venturing to the Eagle Rock. Situated right next to the ancient cemetery of Cruciata, this marvellous viewpoint surrounded by fragrant and generous local vegetation is a fantastic viewpoint, a must see: from the heights you can enjoy a unique panorama of the village, but also of the sea and the beaches. After having taken the time to walk through the eucalyptus forest of Chiavari, take the direction of the treasure of Pietrosella: its beaches!

Our advice: go around the peninsula of Isolella. White sand, turquoise sea, here, everything is done so that even the most reticent succumb in an instant to the Corsican charm. But don't stop there, as you will have understood, Pietrosella is surrounded by numerous beaches, absolutely ideal for lazing around in the sun. Crossed by a small brook, the beach of Agnarellu is to be seen for its magnificent panoramas on the mountains, just like the beach of Stagnola which offers a superb view on the gulf of Ajaccio. The Cala Medea and its pink sand, the idyllic beach of Sainte-Barbe and its turquoise water to be damned, the sporty and fascinating beach of Ruppione and its surf spots, without forgetting the luminous and wild Fica beach, classified among the 5 most beautiful beaches in France, are to be added to your "to-do list". In addition to swimming and the most beautiful tanning contests, the beaches of Pietrosella will satisfy the lovers of nautical activities: surfing, scuba diving in crystal-clear water, sea kayaking, pedal boats, sea trips, jet-skiing, sailing, jet-skis, paddle and many other aquatic activities will complete your visit to the Isle of Beauty.
