Authentic, made of old houses with stone facades that overlook the Gulf of Saint-Florent, Oletta has a marked and rather opulent heritage, the result of many years of mining. The church of Saint Andrew (Sant'Andria), a listed building, is well worth a visit: built in the 18th century, it impresses with its splendid baroque architecture and beautiful decorations (including two listed works and magnificent organs). But the town's religious heritage does not stop there: in the area around Oletta there are many chapels that you can visit, such as the San Griolone Chapel, famous for its ancient remains. The ruins of the former convent of St. Francis, but also the remains of the old church, now converted into a dwelling, will complete your visit.

Known to have been home to many painters during the 20th century, including Maurice Utrillo, Oletta is an inspiring, captivating destination, adored by visitors for its picturesque side, certainly, but also for its panoramas.
