Between the sea and the mountains, about forty kilometres south of Bastia, Poggio-Mezzana is located at an altitude of 320 metres. The village is made up of five hamlets: Mazzana, Pianella, Renoso, E Murelle and Poggio. It is made up of beautiful typical Corsican houses with slate roofs, narrow cobbled streets particularly suitable for walking, dotted with vaulted passageways and wooded squares offering incredible views of the Tyrrhenian Sea and the Tuscan islands off the coast. The famous Cascade de l'Ucelluline is only a dozen kilometres away, so you can easily get there on foot, by bike or by car, just like the less known and yet so beautiful Struccia waterfall!
