Visit also Corte, former capital of Corsica, for its citadel perched on a promontory, its beautiful church of the Annunciation and its National Palace which hosts the museum of Corsica. Then go to Calvi, the Genoese, for the beautiful citadel that overlooks it but also its narrow cobbled streets, ramparts and salt tower.

A land of hiking and cycling, Haute-Corse also invites you to go through its many pedestrian and cycling paths. Following them, you can discover other magnificent sites such as the Conca d'Oro, with its menhirs, Romanesque churches and the beautiful city of Saint-Florent, the vineyards around Patrimonio, the Ostriconi valley and its fabulous Medieval village of Lama. On the Costa Serena, visit Aleria, the ancient capital of Corsica with many Persian, Carthaginian, Etruscan and Roman remains. But also enjoy the villages in the hinterland of Balan, south of Ile-Rousse : Belgodère, Speloncato... Finally, taste the local flavors : sardines with brocciu, fish soup, veal with olives, cheeses, wines...
