North of Granville, along the English Channel, is the small town of Bréville-sur-Mer. About 50 kilometres from Mont-Saint-Michel, in the Manche department, this Normandy town has been awarded the "Village Patrimoine du Pays de la Baie" (Heritage Village of the Bay Area) label. Formerly a fishing and farming commune under the authority of Mont-Saint-Michel, it gained independence during the Hundred Years' War and has now become a popular destination for visitors passing through for holidays in Normandy.

What strikes you when you arrive in Bréville-sur-Mer is its charm. Its charm is typical of the Normandy region, with its beautiful houses and its marked architectural heritage. A visit to the heart of the town is a must for your holiday "to do". But what to see? The 13th century church of Notre-Dame, listed as a Historic Monument, the Saint-Hélier fountain renowned for its healing properties, not forgetting the large, magnificent, comfortable houses that make up the elegance of Bréville-sur-Mer.
