Located next to the famous Granville, at the entrance to the Bay of Mont-Saint-Michel, Donville-les-Bains faces the Chaussey Islands. A listed seaside resort in the southern part of the English Channel, this small town shaped by the wind and the moods of the sea is popular with families thanks to its beautiful cliffs and long beaches of fine sand. What is the main attraction in Donville-les-Bains? The beauty of its coastline. Arriving from the tip of the Lude, you will discover this absolutely splendid waterfront, both elegant and conducive to water sports. You will particularly appreciate the wide variety of sports offered on the large beach of Donville-les-Bains, located below the village: windsurfing, catamaran, sea kayaking, surfing, sand yachting... The most adventurous can opt for a paragliding flight over the coast, starting from the high cliffs of the town. If there is one flagship activity in the resort, it is certainly fishing, in all its forms. During the high tides (the highest in Europe), Donville-les-Bains becomes a paradise for fishing on foot. An ideal activity to do with the whole family, it will allow you to enjoy beautiful walks by the sea! At low tide, you can also see the alignments of piles full of Bouchot mussels (AOP), or go to sea to learn how to fish by boat.

Walking is one of the most popular activities in Donville-les-Bains: you will find a vast network of hiking trails for all levels, from Sunday walkers to long-distance hikers. The most famous is undoubtedly the "Randonnée Bleue & Verte": created more than 25 years ago, this walk between land and sea through the entire Bay of Mont-Saint-Michel is a must in the region. Don't miss the "La Cité d'Or" loop to discover Granville and the childhood home of the couturier Christian Dior, which will allow you to contemplate from the heights of the neighbouring city all the splendour of Donville-les-Bains. And if there is a place to see during your holidays, it is certainly Pointe du Lude: with its plunging view of the old Hôtel de l'Ermitage and the beach, it is the ideal place to watch the sun set, or to enjoy a spectacular show during the fireworks display on July 14. With its fitness area, hammam, sauna, relaxing treatments and seawater pool heated with underwater jets, this place is particularly conducive to escape and release will satisfy all your desires.
