In the heart of Savoie, in the wonderful Doron valley, lies the village of Bozel. Bozel is a privileged meeting place for lovers of green vacations, where wild nature, snowy mountains, hiking and skiing are all part of the equation. In Tarentaise, Bozel is one of those little nuggets that we love so much. Located at 746 meters of altitude at its lowest point, the village looks up to the sky and reaches an altitude of 2594 meters. Crossed by the meanders of the Doron, a tributary of the Isère, the village is situated at an altitude of 850 meters in the heart of an environment marked by an ancient historical heritage. If the village bears the traces of the Neolithic, it takes its rise in the Middle Ages and owes its prosperity to the culture of its vines, its old mines, its production of cheese and its breeding. In terms of heritage, you will discover the Sarrazine Tower from the end of the 12th century, a vast seigniorial fortified house that you can visit during the summer. The church of Saint-François de Sales, or the chapel of Notre-Dame-de-Tout-Pouvoir will give you a nice overview of the architectural heritage of Bozel.

After the Second World War, Bozel became a popular destination for sportsmen and families who come to enjoy its landscapes and its direct link with the 3 Valleys ski area, which offers more than 600 kilometers of ski slopes accessible to both skiing enthusiasts and novices. What about activities? Skiing, of course, but also snowshoeing, ice walking, fat biking, mountain biking in the summer, sledding sessions, snowboarding, discovery of play areas for children and snowboard lovers... Spa and relaxation sessions after skiing, gourmet interludes in the mountain restaurants and a swimming pool in the heart of the mountains will complete your stay. And if you prefer the intimacy of Bozel to the big resorts, note that the village has a beautiful cross-country skiing area, which will allow you to walk in the heart of its snowy valleys and its forests planted with magnificent fir trees. As far as walks are concerned, the summit of the Roc du Bécoin (2594 meters), but also the Mont Jovet (2589 meters), the Dent du Villard (2284 meters), the hamlets of Villemartin, Lachenal, Tincave, the banks of the torrent of Bonrieu, those of La Rosière and Montgellaz, but also the lake and the leisure center of Bozel are beautiful alternatives. During the summer season, the latter offers relaxation areas at the foot of the mountains, beaches, a free and supervised swimming area, a zip line, tennis courts, petanque courts with free access and a bar-restaurant where you can dine with your feet in the water and a view of the summits... We could only dream of it!
