Saint-Bon-Tarentaise is now linked with its neighbour La Perrière to form the new commune of Courchevel and is a real concentrate of nature. The major asset of Saint-Bon-Tarentaise? The presence on its territory of one of the most famous winter sports resorts in the whole of France: the elegant and very popular Courchevel, which belongs to the Three Valleys ski area. Also called Saint-Bon-Courchevel, the Savoyard commune is located in the heart of the Vanoise massif, in the Tarentaise region. Spread out between 700 and 3051 metres above sea level, dominated by the Aiguille du Fruit, the town of Saint-Bon-Tarentaise was once best known for its cheese-making, before becoming a skier's paradise at the end of the 20th century. The territory of the commune is divided into several sectors, 4 village resorts particularly appreciated by skiers, namely Courchevel Le Praz, Courchevel Village, Courchevel Moriond and Courchevel, whose fame goes beyond the hexagon, attracting visitors from the four corners of the globe.
