Explore Orelle
It is 1 hour from Chambéry, in the magnificent Maurienne Valley, that the Orelle resort is located. Perched at an altitude of 880 metres, this charming village full of tradition is ideally situated at the gateway to the world's largest ski area : Les 3 Vallées. This exceptional area with over 600 kilometres of slopes (between 1800 and 320 metres) accessible at all levels is a delight for young and old alike, who will be able to enjoy their favourite sporting activities in both winter and summer.
A family destination par excellence, Orelle is a quiet village of unspoilt beauty, made up of 8 hamlets nestled a few cables from the Vanoise National Park and Italy. Its rural character, its wash houses, its fountains as well as its traditional architecture with its stone houses and its bluish roofs give it a very particular atmosphere. Extremely well sunny, this discreet resort is a true haven of peace, both when the mountain is adorned with its thick white coat and when the Maurienne valley reveals the curves of its breathtaking greenery.

Alpine skiing, tobogganing, cross-country skiing, Nordic walking, torch-lit walks, ice climbing, snowboarding, off-piste skiing, snowshoeing... And why not join Orelle to Val Thorens as the crow flies, via the highest zip line in the world ? During a flight of nearly 2 minutes perched at 3230 meters of altitude, you will see before your eyes an absolutely unique panorama on the domain of Orelle and the ridge of Val Thorens. Whether you are a thrill-seeker or not, we still advise you to go to the top of the Bouchet chairlift for a breathtaking view of the 3 Vallées, especially when the sun sets and the mountain is tinged with magic.
During the summer, when the green valleys are adorned with their most beautiful finery and the mountain lakes reflect the blue sky, Orelle becomes a playground for nature sports aficionados. The ideal starting point to attack some of the most mythical alpine passes such as the Galibier, Mont-Cenis, Madeleine, Glandon or Toussuire passes, Orelle is loved by mountain bikers when summer comes. The mountain in good weather is also the perfect opportunity to enjoy a breath of fresh air during excursions through the passes and valleys : at the gates of the Vanoise National Park, the Orelle area is made up of immense meadows, alpine pastures, rich fauna, colourful flora and magnificent lakes, ideal for relaxing moments with family or friends. From Lac du Bouchet to Lac du Bissorte, passing by Lac Pépin, Lac du Génépy and Lac du Mont Cenis, here are so many absolutely sumptuous bodies of water that you will have to see during your excursions from Orelle. In Orelle there is nothing, no small town center or shopping life so my advice : be prepared for shopping.

Prefer to go to Valloire by car which is great to visit and the ascent and return 9 euros per person and the top is great for everything!
