Close to Toulon, Brignoles and Draguignan, Le Luc en Provence is one of those little nuggets that the department jealously guards the secret. Renowned for being the destination with the most summer days in France, this charming destination is located at the foot of the Maures massif, not far from the legendary Gorges du Verdon and only thirty kilometres from the star seaside resorts of Saint-Tropez, Grimaud and Cavalaire-sur-Mer. Rich in a very ancient history, the commune of Le Luc has been inhabited since the High Middle Ages, and benefits from a beautiful tourist influence thanks to its climate, which is particularly appreciated by holidaymakers throughout the year. What we remember about the village is above all its immeasurable charm: here, the houses are painted in warm tones, the old wooden shutters are pastel coloured and the frontages are decorated with light stones and abundant vegetation. You can feel the Provencal atmosphere at every corner! As you stroll through Le Luc, you will discover its architectural heritage: the beauty of the Renaissance house on rue des Fours, its bories, its two ovens, but also a Clock Tower dating from the 12th century and many fountains that line the town centre will punctuate your walks with their melodious lapping. The Muraires dolmen, the Fouirette oppidum and the Saint-Pierre priory are also part of the village's rich history, as is the 3-storey hexagonal tower attached to the former Notre-Dame-de-Nazareth church, which is worth a visit for its unobstructed view of the town from the top of its 27 metres. The Provençal Gothic church of Notre-Dame du Mont Carmel, the castel on the hill at the top of the village (accessible via several hiking routes suitable for the whole family), but also the Stamp Museum and the magnificent Ventimiglia castle will complete your visit. The latter, built at the beginning of the 17th century, had one of the most beautiful parks in the whole of Provence! Designed according to the plans of none other than André Le Nôtre, it still reveals today a majestic ginkgo biloba tree straight from China at the very beginning of the 19th century.

The town of Le Luc is a lively place all year round, with a whole host of celebrations to attend: the bread festival in December, the Christmas market, the horse fair in September, the Provençal festival of orchestras in July, the cherry festival in May and other weekly fairs and markets will not fail to plunge you into the heart of Provençal traditions.
