The town of Luc-sur-Mer is located in the department of Calvados, in Normandy. South of the Bay of Seine, in the heart of the Côte de Nacre, this elegant Norman seaside resort is located about 15 kilometers from Caen and 9 kilometers from Ouistreham. Here, visitors come to enjoy the calm of the sea, the purity of the iodized air, and the elegance of a seaside with preserved beauty. For the little anecdote, it is on the beach of Luc-sur-Mer that came to ground in 1885 the largest whale ever discovered in Europe. Exposed in the municipal park of the town, the skeleton of this whale can be discovered during a pleasant walk in the heart of a green setting, and you can also discover a museum dedicated to the cetacean, which can also be visited during the summer season.
