Between sea and mountains, about forty kilometres from Ajaccio, the small seaside resort of Coti-Chiavari has everything to please holidaymakers looking for a change of scenery and dream beaches. In the south of the Gulf of Ajaccio, in the heart of a bay spoiled by nature, the small village of Coti Chiavari takes place on the peninsula of Capu di Muru. Rich of a very beautiful architectural heritage, its origins go back to the Middle Ages, as attested by the presence of Genoese towers which, between the 16th and 17th centuries, were part of the defensive enclosure of the coastline of the Isle of Beauty. The Capo-di-Muro Tower is worth seeing, as are the Capo-Nero Tower and the Castagna Tower, for a cultural interlude to discover the richness of the local architecture. During your strolls, whether on foot, horseback or bicycle, you will not fail to discover the old prison of the 19th century, but also the splendour of the old houses that adorn the heart of the village. Dating from the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries, these granite and freestone houses, covered with tiled roofs, are emblematic of the local landscape. Take a tour of the Saint-Jean-Baptiste church, which houses superb 19th century paintings and statues, before finishing your tour of Coti-Chiavari's monuments with a stop at the Sainte-Marie chapel, which is worth a visit for its remarkable furnishings.

But what attracts visitors passing through Coti-Chiavari above all is its natural heritage. To discover it, nothing better than putting on your most comfortable sneakers to let yourself be charmed along its hiking trails. From Cape Muro to Cape Nero, passing through the Perciu, Buratonu, Agnonu, Castagna and Guardiola points, not forgetting Carapono and Punta Rossa, but also the Ciradella Pass and the peaceful Piana Island, you will discover all the magnificence of the coast that borders the seaside resort of Coti-Chiavari. Impossible not to mention the beaches that adorn the contours of the town: magnificent, each one more dazzling than the next, they will be perfect for hiking, swimming, lazing around and practicing water sports according to your desires. From the Cala d'Orzo to the beach of Cupabia, passing by the marvellous Silver beach, the Mare e Sol beach, and the beach of Portigliolo in the Valinco gulf (4 kilometres long!), you will be spoilt for choice to put your towel down in front of the turquoise water, all worthy of the most beautiful postcards of Corsica. Catamaran, sea kayak, sailing, boat hire, but also scuba diving in crystal-clear water to be damned, dinghy, paddle and jet-ski will complete your stay on the coast of Coti-Chiavari.
