Adored by painters, authors and poets, Veyrier-du-Lac never ceases to delight holidaymakers passing through its walls. A paradise of nature, perched at an altitude of 492 metres, this charming resort takes its place in the heart of a generous and abundant nature, leaning against the sunny slopes of Mont Veyrier (1293 metres). Situated overlooking Lake Annecy, on its eastern shore, precisely 5 kilometres south-east of Annecy, Veyrier-du-Lac is an elegant destination, prized for its magnificent villas and restaurants with their feet in the water. There are many sites to see during your holiday in this Savoyard village, such as the 16th century Château de Fésigny, also known as Château de Ruaz. Former property of the Counts of Fésingy, this large rectangular building flanked by two square towers and two round towers is worth a visit for its wonderful painted ceilings, for the ancient turrets of its green park, and for the splendour of its roofs and ornate facades. Still in the building register, don't miss the 14th century Saint-Maurice church, which is worth a visit, especially for its wood sculptures and listed paintings. Then put on your sneakers and head towards the Mont-Baron lookout: easily accessible thanks to marked trails, it is a great classic for hikers passing through the resort. With its breathtaking panoramas of Lake Annecy, the Semnoz, the peaks of the Bauges and the Massif des Avaris, it will offer walkers wonderful memories, both during the day and at sunset. There are many walking or cycling routes that you can take on the slopes of Mont Veyrier. Marked out with viewpoints on the lake, these itineraries adapted for both novice walkers and trekking fans will be perfect to marvel at the beauty of the place. The mountains are also a vast playground for thrill aficionados who, depending on the season, can go paragliding, snowshoeing, but also climbing, mountaineering, cross-country, downhill and Nordic skiing, particularly in the resorts of Saint-Jean-de-Sixt, La Clusaz, Manigod or Le Grand Bornand, located about twenty minutes from Veyrier-du-Lac.

On the lake side, there are also numerous activities, which will appeal to young and old alike. From the splendid beach of La Brune, very family oriented, you will be able to indulge in idleness, to swim in complete tranquility, but also to practise various water sports. Paddle, windsurf, wakesurf, kayak for a lake ride, but also wakeboard, longe-côte and diving, without forgetting boat trips to discover the lake from the water...
