Nestled in the heart of the great Trois Vallées ski area, Courchevel 1300 (or "Le Praz") is a welcoming winter sports resort, renowned for its charming village and the quality of its ski slopes. In all, the area has more than 600 kilometres of slopes connected by 200 ski lifts : it is therefore the ideal place for a family holiday in the mountains.

Take the time to visit this typical Savoyard village, with its small streets and wooden chalets that will plunge you into a warm atmosphere. You will have to go to the ski jumping stadium : having served for the 1992 Olympic Games, it is the witness of the importance and the implication of the resort in the sports field.

As for skiing, you will have understood, Courchevel 1300 is the ideal place for ski lovers thanks to its privileged location. Ski down, you can easily reach the resorts of Courchevel 1850, Val Thorens and Méribel to enjoy 600 kilometers of skiing, and over 330 runs in a sparkling scenery. Climb up to the Chapelets piste or the summit of Creux Noirs in order to immortalize sumptuous panoramas on the Vanoise massif. Experienced skiers who love the black slopes will not miss the Jockeys piste, at the start of the Praz Juget mountain: thrills guaranteed ! Children will be able to take advantage of the more gentle slopes reserved for beginners, located on the Envolée sector, along the ski lift of the same name. Sledge runs but also play areas with trampolines and other inflatable structures are accessible throughout the resort. Alpine skiers can also discover Courchevel 1300 at night, during night ascents via two marked and secure routes, 3.2 and 5 kilometres long respectively. Nordic skiers, for their part, will benefit from facilities dedicated to cross-country skiing: on the Praz Nordic site (which was also used during the 1992 Olympic Games), three loops running through the mountain pastures and forests will delight the most sporty holidaymakers. The Arolles forest will be the favourite playground for fans of snowshoe hiking and off-piste skiing : in the middle of the spruces, you can have fun in a thick powder. Do not miss the Praz lake, starting point of many excursions which will allow you to discover the various hamlets of the valley. The loop of Mateigena in particular, through the woods and clearings is worth making a detour. In all, Courchevel is criss-crossed by more than 260 kilometres of hiking trails, which will give you the opportunity to admire exceptional expanses, sometimes perched at an altitude of more than 2700 metres. Finally many sporting activities will be at your disposal during this stay : paragliding baptism, swimming pool, ice rink, bowling or climbing, the activities are varied in Courchevel 1300, for the happiness of young and old.

Quiet resort, appreciated by families and less expensive than its big sister Courchevel 1850, Courchevel 1300 is famous for its good restaurants. Push the door of the famous "Bistrot du Praz" to savour its hot foie gras and Savoyard cuisine, or that of the "La table de mon grand-fère" brasserie to taste local specialities by the lake, in a magnificent setting.
