With dream beaches to spare, the Canary Islands are well known to aficionados of idleness and exotic stays. In Mogan in particular, holidaymakers and inhabitants of the city enjoy happy days under an almost permanent sun, enjoying its absolutely magnificent setting and dynamism all year round.

Close your eyes and imagine: beautiful homes in the colours of the rainbow, behind which stands a mountain... In front of these dream houses and their elaborate balconies, the port, the moored boats, the turquoise sea, and fragrant rows of bougainvilleas in bloom. Open your eyes: you have arrived in Mogan, a small village in the province of Las Palmas de Grand Canaria, Spain. With an average temperature of 26°C, this small corner of paradise can be visited in both winter and summer. Take the time to stroll along the quays of its family and welcoming port, from canals to flowered bridges to soak up its peaceful atmosphere. A little something to eat? The port is full of good restaurants where you can enjoy delicious local specialities, most of which are based on seafood products such as fish soup, sancocho, green Mojo berries and plancha tuna fillets. To refresh yourself, don't miss the tropical fruits and vegetables grown on the slopes of the Mogan Ravine, such as mangoes, anones and papayas. Then take your bucolic walk back to the city centre, to discover its pedestrian streets, its typical Canary Islands architecture houses and its beautifully decorated squares, all more colourful than the others. The 1814 Sant Antonio church is worth a visit, both for the beauty of its architecture and the splendour of its interior decorations made of carved wood.

Hiking fans? The surroundings of Mogan could surprise you and amaze you with their beauty. The "Macizo Del Suroeste" (Southern Massif) is a real paradise for all nature lovers. With its valleys planted with "tabaibaloes" and a flora typical of the Canary Islands, the latter lends itself perfectly to sporting excursions and quieter walks, with incomparable views of the sea and the woods. The Veneguera Gorges, as such, are a remarkable place: at the foot of the Azulejos massif, it is a real nugget of nature, recognizable by its rocks tinged with yellow, blue and red. The Ojeda, Inagua and Pajonales Natural Park, but also the Tuscan Gorges and the Presa de Soria are magnificent sites to add to your holiday to-do-list.

Finally, if you prefer water sports to land-based activities, then know that Mogan will meet all your expectations! Although mainly made up of cliffs, the Mogan coast offers magnificent beaches where you can practice a wide range of sliding activities. Puerto Rico's beach is one of the most popular: near the port, it is frequented by yachting enthusiasts and hosts some luxury yachts. You will also find a sailing school open to all, as well as many sports such as surfing, catamaran, sailing of course, but also kitesurfing or scuba diving. Amadores Beach and its white sand will make you dream with its paradisiacal setting, just like Tauro Beach, very rarely visited, perfect for a little rest away from the crowd. The black sandy beach of Del Cura is worth a visit, as are the beaches of Tiritana and Los Frailes, for pleasant swimming in transparent waters.
