Located in the Valmorel estate, the village resort of Doucy-Valmorel is both calm and friendly, combining the modernity of its facilities with the charm typical of its mountain chalets. At an altitude of 2832 metres, the Grand Domaine de Valmorel, with its many lifts and magnificent snow-covered landscapes, will leave you with no ice. Every year, the resort welcomes many skiers, novices and experts to its 150 kilometres of ski slopes. On foot, on skis or on snowshoes, discover the splendid immaculate panoramas of the Tarentaise valley. Between Valmorel, Doucy-Combelouvière and Celliers, nearly 50 kilometres of hiking trails are accessible to beginners and experienced hikers. Through valleys, plateaus and snow-covered slopes, you will discover the diversity of the reliefs of the Savoyard mountains.

In winter, many activities are offered in the heart of these mountains covered with a thick white mantle so that you can enjoy the beauty of the landscape to the full. Cross-country skiing, downhill skiing, sledging, quad biking, night skiing, bobsleigh, paragliding over the mountains or even riding a sled pulled by Nordic dogs: you will have understood that the activities are many and varied. Let yourself be tempted by an introduction to yoga in the open air or Nordic walking: this fun sport allows you to exercise while enjoying the superb mountain landscapes. This activity is a must try, with family or friends: the airboard. Lying on an inflatable sled, you will discover sliding under a whole new angle by shaving the snow at full speed and descending: thrills guaranteed! Finally, children will be able to improve their skills during group or individual ski lessons that may allow them to pass their first star.

Back from skiing, skiers tired of their day on the slopes will enjoy the spa of Les Cîmes and the many facilities of the resort. Enjoy the hammam, jacuzzis, massage rooms or sauna: a relaxing and zenifying atmosphere guaranteed!

Finally, after spending the day in the snow, you will only want to eat! The resort is full of restaurants: Le Petit Savoyard, La Vache Orange, La Marmite or La Table du Berger will delight the gourmands. Don't leave without tasting the delicatessen, the Savoy cheeses such as reblochon, beaufort, tomme de Savoie, but also the local dishes such as fondue, raclette and tartiflette, real institutions of winter sports gastronomy!
