On the eastern shore of Lake Annecy, a dozen kilometres from what some people rightly call the "Venice of the Alps", Talloires-Montmin enjoys a long-standing reputation among travellers. In addition to the visit of its timeless abbey, we can only recommend the visit of the hermitage of Saint-Germain-sur-Talloires. Built in 1780 above the eponymous cave, this sacred place, in addition to its architectural beauty, is worth the detour for the breathtaking panoramas that it offers over the entire bay of Talloires and Lake Annecy.

After a brief visit of its historic town, its chapels, its oratories and its 5 ports: the Port of Balmette, the Port of the Americans, the Port of Vivier, the Port of Talloires and the Port de l'Espace Lac, put on your sneakers and set off to discover what makes the splendour of Talloires: its unspoilt nature. Le Roc de Chère is a good idea for a family outing to contemplate Talloires. An immense rocky spur located in front of the lake, it offers, with its 69-hectare Nature Reserve, numerous viewpoints over Lake Annecy, perfect for contemplating its beauty both by day and at sunrise. During the winter, the ski resort of Montmin is without a doubt Talloires-Montmin's major asset. Two green runs, two blue runs, one red run and boardercross await the sportsmen and women, when the youngest and the oldest who have kept their childlike spirit will enjoy themselves on the secure tobogganing area.
